iPhone 5 launch event

iPhone 5 is one of those products which become famous even before they start their journey on assembly conveyor belt. iPhone 5 was heavily discussed in 2011 because a lot of people were expecting an iPhone 5 not iPhone 4S. Like any other Apple product rumors regarding Apple’s 6th generation iPhone started soon after Apple launch its 5th generation iPhone – iPhone 4S in October last year. A Japanese blog Macotakara is now reporting that Apple is planning to unveil iPhone 5 in September-October time frame later this year. According to their “reliable source” Apple will continue to follow their new iPhone launch timeframe which they introduced with the launch of iPhone 4S in October last year.

Apple launched iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in June-July timeframe when Apple held their annual World Wide Developers Conference.  But last year Apple changed their launch plans and moved iPhone launch event from it’s usual June-July timeframe to a new October timeframe.
According to Asian reliable source, next iPhone will be released in September or October , and this cycle seems to be kept for years.

Macotakara’s report contradicts several previous report in which sources indicated that Apple may launch iPhone 5 in June-July at World Wide Developers Conference 2012. Official dates for WWDC 2012 have not been announced yet but according to leaked plan from last year Apple will host WWDC 2012 from June 11th to June 15th.

Multiple sources have already pointed toward a possible October iPhone 5 launch event and many Apple pundits including  Jim Dalrymple of The Loop who is well-connected with Apple have confirmed that Apple would unveil their 5th generation of iPhone in October later this year. iMore’s sources had some more information regarding Apple’s iPhone 5, they condoned all October iPhone 5 launch event reports and also mentioned that Apple would bring 4G LTE technology to iPhone 5 later this year.

What can you expect from iPhone 5?
Though it would be too early to comment of proper specification and features but you can expect a 4″ inch multi-touch screen, better cameras, faster processor and better graphics, more RAM and slimmer design. This is what I believe Apple should offer in iPhone 5, some reports have also claimed that Apple may introduce NFC technology in iPhone 5 but that highly unlikely.
